How to Use the Free Website Audit
Type any public website address (like myshop.com — you don't need the https:// part) and press Run Free Audit. Google's servers load the page on a simulated mobile phone and grade it in four categories: Performance (speed), SEO (search basics), Accessibility (usable by everyone) and Best Practices (security and modern standards).
Scores run 0–100: 90+ is good (green), 50–89 needs work (orange), below 50 is poor (red). Most small-business sites score 40–70 on mobile — that's normal, and fixable. Below the scores you'll see Core Web Vitals: LCP (how fast the main content appears — aim under 2.5s), CLS (how much the layout jumps around — aim under 0.1) and INP (how quickly buttons respond — aim under 200ms).
The top 5 opportunities list tells you what to fix first, in plain English — usually it's oversized images, unused JavaScript from plugins, or slow hosting. Each fix typically lifts the score by the estimated seconds shown.
Speed isn't just vanity: Google ranks faster sites higher, and every extra second of load time loses roughly 7% of conversions. Run the audit, fix the top items (or ask us to review it free), then re-run to watch your score climb.
