📄 PDF Tools

Merge multiple PDFs into one file, or split pages out of a PDF — free, right in your browser.

What are these PDF tools? Two everyday PDF helpers: Merge PDF joins several PDF files into a single document in the order you pick, and Split PDF extracts a page range (for example pages 2–5) into a brand-new PDF. Everything runs on your device — no uploads, no sign-up, no watermarks.

How to Use the PDF Tools

PDFs are everywhere — job applications, invoices, scanned documents — and sooner or later you need to combine a few of them or pull out just a couple of pages. These tools do both jobs without installing anything and without sending your documents to a server, which matters when the files contain personal information.

To merge: click the file picker and select all the PDFs you want to combine (hold Ctrl or Cmd to pick several at once). They are joined in the order shown in the list. Press Merge PDFs and a single file called merged.pdf downloads instantly. Page content is copied exactly, so quality does not change.

To split: upload one PDF, then type the first and last page numbers you want — for example 2 to 5 to pull out the middle of a report. Press Split PDF and you get a new file with only those pages. This is handy for sharing one chapter of a document, or removing pages you do not need before emailing a file.

One honest note: this page does not compress PDFs. Real PDF compression means re-encoding the images inside the file, which cannot be done reliably in a browser — any site that claims one-click browser PDF compression is either uploading your file to a server or faking the result. If you need a smaller file, splitting out unneeded pages is the safe way to shrink it here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. All merging and splitting happens inside your own browser using JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone — you can even use the tool offline once the page has loaded.

Does merging PDFs reduce their quality?

No. Merging copies the pages exactly as they are into a new file, so text, images and formatting stay identical to the originals.

Can I compress a PDF to make it smaller here?

Not with this tool. True PDF compression (re-encoding images inside the PDF) is not reliably possible in a browser, so we do not offer it rather than give you a fake result. This page only merges and splits PDFs.

How do I extract specific pages from a PDF?

Use the Split PDF section: upload your file, enter the first and last page numbers you want (for example 2 to 5), and press Split PDF. You will get a new PDF containing only those pages.

Is there a limit on file size or number of files?

There is no fixed limit, but very large files (hundreds of megabytes) can be slow or run out of memory because everything is processed in your browser. For typical documents of a few megabytes, merging is instant.
